Title: Buckeyes Description: Ok Buckeye fans, or any fan of chocolate and peanut butter, Here is a recipe for Buckeye Candy that I remember my mom making once in a blue moon. GO BUCKS! Ingredients: 1 1/2 lb. jar smooth peanut butter
1 1/2 lb. powdered sugar (3 1/2 cups)
1/2 lb. butter (1 cup)
1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate semi-sweet morsels
3/4 stick paraffin
Directions: Cream powdered sugar and butter together, then add peanut butter. Mix well. May knead like dough. Shape into balls about 1-inch in diameter. (Quarter size) Stick in toothpicks. Put on cookie sheet covered with wax paper. Freeze (1/2 hour or more)
COVERING:
Melt chocolate morsels and paraffin in double boiler. Swirl candy ball by toothpick in chocolate leaving about a dime size area around toothpick uncovered. Dry on cookie sheet covered with wax paper and remove toothpicks and using finger, smooth over the toothpick hole. Using a knife, remove finished Buckeye from wax paper and place on serving plate or candy bowl.
Number Of Servings:Enough for small party. Preparation Time:about an hour and a half maybe.
