I need thoughts on this part of the book, please.

German Burnett (G.B.) Kyle of Logan County, Arkansas and his Wayne County, Tennessee ancestors : Duckworth, Kyle, Nesbitt, Staggs, Wilson and their descendants and allied families

by Smidt, Johannes-Vienne
Compi1ed by
Edith Madeline (Replogle) Raymond
Route 1, Box 152
Pullman, Washington 99163

copied 1990
by University Printing & Color Copy Center N. 134 Grand • Pullm«n, WA 99163
Background information on his parents is given in RESEARCH NOTES.

RICHARD CHURCHWELL. SR.
A Wayne Co TN Deed, dated 1841,

says 'Richard, Elias, and Fielden Churchwell, the heirs of Richard Churchwell, Sr.', sold to John Churchwell for $150, 120 acres of land executed by deed from Henson Grove to Richard Churchwell, Sr., and 20 acres of land granted to heirs of Richard Churchwell.

Fielden is buried in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Wayne Co TN, by his wife and sons, Joseph and James. Tombstone information on these sons, and spouse of daughter Nancy is given on his wife's Individual Sheet. Son James on the 1870 US Census was living with his parents; was age 24, b TN, and was a school teacher.

dated 1841 = after death of Ric'd SR and JR
Fielden, wife Elendor Staggs & sons Joseph and John
* I have Fielden dod is 1897
* wife Elendor dod is 1902
* son Joseph dod is 1860
* son John no dod
***yet considering this book they were all passed by 1841? Did Rich'd Sr. (b 1750- 1813) have a son named Fielden and wife and sons..... It did not mention his wife's name (that I saw)
*Nancy's spouse (if d/o Ric'd Jr = Blackburn (whose dod that I have is 1855)
*Nancy d/o Ric'd Sr. is Farris whose dod is 1832
*Son James would be Fielden's son (I believe) b 1846

I could use some help with James Churchwell, son of Fielden. I have James H Churchwell born 2 Mar 1846 and died 16 Aug 1870. My problem understanding here is that the cenus is dated 26 Aug 1870.
