    Jerry,

I've visited with a Linda Skelton a few years ago who had at one time done some family research.
Perhaps she can help you. Don't know if the info is still current, but it was skeltonlmb@yahoo.com and
931.729.4677. Thanks for posting the pic of my grandfather Schmittou--I'm still technically challenged.

Also, belated Happy Birthday. Wish Jean would create one of those blackberry pies--sounds so good!

Jerry, I posted a note yesterday, but it has dissappeared. I don't have
much info on Uncle Barney, but my aunt that lives in Waynesboro may
be able to tell me if he has any descendants in the area. I would be
surprised if he doesn't! Joyce T.

JL, Yes, I believe that she is. I talked to her at the funeral home in
Waynesboro several years ago, and she want me to come by her
home, but I never got by there. I believe that she had told me that
she lived around Hurricane Creek. Does that sound right? Thanks,
Jouce T.

Jerry, Are they still taking submissions for the military book? If so, my dad was in the Air Force from 1952-1955 and I would love to submit his history.

Jerry Tatum - Aug 01,2007   Viewers  | Reply
Just send your submission to Robert Rains or Betty Peacock. Both are on this site. I'm sure they would love to have it.

Girl's correct me if I'm wrong. Isn't Barney the son of Commador Skelton. HIs grandfather is Sam Skelton. Bro/sister's Mac or Mack, Com, Olen, Arthur, Mary and more I guess. Barney married Penny York, sister to Bill York. Barney and Penny had Ola Marie and a son, maybe another daughter? I lived near Bill York and Eva's family around Detroit when I was abt. 4-5 years. Bill's daughter, Margaret, Ola Marie and I are all near same age.

Alva, Barney was the oldest child of Samuel Moore Skelton and Rittie
Ann Mathis Sharp. All of the names that you mentioned except Mack,
were siblings of Barney, and his wife was Penny York. The only
Mac that I ever remember was MacArthur Skelton, and he was the
son of Arthur and Nettie Carroll Skelton.

Joyce L., I am glad that you got to talk to Ola M., because my aunt
named the children very fast and I didn't get them all.
