My father has been gone for over 15 years now. He died of cancer in 1984. There are alot of fond memories I have of my father but one sticks out in my mind involving the family. One day in the early 70's, my father and my cousin, Rob Beck, was horseplaying around at my Grandma Roberta's house, which they frequently did at the family get togethers. My father, being a Columbus Police Officer, some how managed to hog tie my cousin, put an apple in his mouth, and left him on the floor for all of us to laugh and take pictures. Rob was always a big muscular boy, so I guess that is why my father picked on him. Rob never let on, until recently, that he was really hurting during the rough housing that day. I thank you Dad and Robby for giving me a memory that I never will forget. John Cobb (A.K.A. Johnny Booger in those days)
