Just thought I would share the count of the 2011 Cyrus Homecoming. As best as we can determine there were 258. I know some missed signing the book but a couple of us cousins go over it a few times to add names of cousins we remember seeing that did not sign. Also I thought the food items went very well. I believe we had plenty for all ... and there were eight pieces of chicken left!! It was another very hot day but there was a cool breeze up on the hill. As always, a good time by all ... and again, a BIG THANK YOU to Uncle Jeff and Aunt Pearl's family for keeping and getting the homeplace ready for all of us.Now, I want you to 'google' Lilly Family West Virginia ... they had 2,585 at their 2009 Lilly Family Reunion!!! Yes, 2,585!!!! It was their 82nd reunion and it is held in Flat Top, WVA, a town between Beckley and Princeton. This year, the dates are August 12-13-14 ... and we are all invited. Just thought you would find this of interest.Love to all, Lena

I thought we had a nice size group. I know our branch,Sheridan's group, had a lot that couldn't make it due to illness. They missed out on some very good food especially the blackberry dumplins. I don't know who made them but they were good. I haven't had those in quite a while. Had to come home and make some myself. Now if everyone who is having a birthday this week were to show up, we would really have a bunch. it looks to me that a lot are having one so HAPPY BIRTHDAY and I hope to see you all next year.
