I am still recovering from Jeff's remarks of the horrible nightmare he went through...

Thoughts running through my head... Perhaps others may want to share.....

Why I am so affected by this?.... I didn't even know to ask about this last summer, Plus we sat at the same table for Chris Muncy's promotion....... and even the night before when Jeff and Linda came over to Lena's to visit with Aunt Sue and I... he didn't bring it up!

So what this proves: This site has become even more valuable to us!

How would I have even known to ask????

In years past-- Aunt Roberta would have called Aunt Lucy... and they would have called everyone... We no longer have that luxury. I know, I miss it too.

Thank you Jeff for sharing a difficult story.... Little did you know, what you may have started. It may be the turning point for an even 'closer Cyrus clan'.

Remember the old party lines? You pick up the phone and hear someone else's conversation?

Well, In this case YOU DO HAVE PERMISSION to READ, personal & sometimes emotional, stories of our families. Most IMPORTANTLY ** We are Listening!

Until next time, Adios!

    Saundra,
I know what you are saying. I used to have my mom tell me EVERYTHING that was happening in our family because she and my Grandma, (Aunt Roberta), would call and talk on the phone almost every night and 'gossip' and there wasn't anything missed. She even called and talked for hours to her brothers and sisters... Since my mom has passed, that part of my connection with my family has gone.

I rely TOTALLY on this web site and it has been a great medium for staying in touch, but still there are some things that I miss. My Uncle Jeff's incident is one to name. If mom was still alive I would had known instantly.
I work 15 hours a day, and with 5 kids here at home, it is impossible for me to sit and talk on the phone with anyone. (I was never one to do that anyways)

I love this site and I hope that more family members would post info on what happens in their lives. Especially when there is a death in our family because I have missed some funerals which I was never notified and feel terrible about it. I have this site set up to give me e-mail notification of new postings which I take advantage of.

I look at all the members of this site and there are allot that just 'hang' in the background never posting or sometimes haven't logged on in months or even years. So I'm with you on how important this site is and hope others will too see it's importance.

John, I agree... When my mother passed away it seemed the 'lifeline' was forever cut.
It is amazing that with you putting in so many hours each day at work AND.. still manage to find the time. I want to give you a lot of credit and compliment you on keeping up with this site. There are so many others that can't find the time to log on..... I feel so out of touch when I am sick... or traveling.... I am so tickled that you get e-mails of new postings... That is just great. Come this May for the reunion, make sure your Aunt Linda or Uncle Jeff brings you around so I can give you a big hug. That's just for hanging in there.
You & I have something in common.... I did not know until your mom passed away that she and my mother shared the same birthday. Dec.14th. That day is still very special to me.
