Title: Marys' Cranberry Salad [Lindseys' daughter] Description: Great Sweet Jello Mold. Try this, even if you do not like 'normal cranberries'. A MUST HAVE side dish with our Thanksgiving/ or Christmas Turkey. CERTAINLY A FAMILY TRADITION!! From the receipe file of MARY MENTZER Ingredients: 1] 1 package cranberries 16 oz.
2] 2 small boxes lemon jello 3 oz. ea
3] 2 cups sugar
4] 1 cup diced celery
5] 1 cup diced red apples w/peeling
6] 2 cups diced black walnuts
Directions: 1} Wash & clean cranberries, [I let them soak for 1/2 hour] REMOVE any soft or discolored ones.
2} Crush cranberries in Blender [Be careful not to
reduce to liquid]
3} In a large bowl Combine jello with HOT water as directed on box. Place in refrigerator for 20 minutes until partially jelled.
4} Remove from refrigerator and ADD rest of ingredients.
5} Pour into your favorite jello mold. [I use an old tupperware mold that has 5 different designs for the center] The Christmas tree design works well and looks great with whipped cream added {in design}.
6} Cover and place in refrigerator overnight.
